The mission of the Vanuatu Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (VFIPA) is to facilitate, promote and foster foreign investment in Vanuatu and to generate greater economic prosperity for the people of Vanuatu. VFIPA has two distinct roles; namely Foreign Investment Promotion and Regulation. VFIPAs current processes and workflows are heavily paper-based, time consuming, and with a lot of manual checking.
Achieving a robust management information system integrated with an online component to facilitate online registration will allow staff to have more time to engage in other important activities, especially in effective monitoring, enable staff to continue processing work during any potential disruptions caused by the Covid19 pandemic (where staff may be forced to work from home), and enabling real time interactions between customers and VFIPA staff, this speeding up responsiveness and information flows.
